GREASE TRAP TREATMENT TECHNICAL REPORT

ROEBIC GREASE TRAP TREATMENT is a bacterial product designed to degrade fats, oils, and grease (FOG) in food service and processing wastewater systems.

GREASE TRAP TREATMENT is a liquid formulation containing stable Bacillus spores, including six of our patented" ROETECH strains, as well as a biodegradable surfactant and odour neutralizing fragrance.

Used regularly, GREASE TRAP TREATMENT will reduce and control FOG levels and odours, thereby avoiding costly clogs, back ups and overflows.

Laboratory Study of Grease Digestion

Results of a controlled laboratory study at left, show how efficient GREASE TRAP TREATMENT  really is. FOG were reduced from 8,220 parts per million to 130 parts per million over a 27 day period; a 98% reduction.

Results are the average of triplicate samples and were determined by the standard hexane extraction method by a certified laboratory.   This impressive grease   degrading   ability   of   GREASE   TRAP TREATMENT translates to the field results as seen below.

RECOMMENDED APPLICATION OF ROEBIC GREASE TRAP PRODUCTS

The three ROEBIC GREASE TRAP PRODUCTS. GREASE TRAP TREATMENT (GT-1), GT-MAX CONCENTRATE, and TRAP-SAK SOLID, are all effective bacterial formulations for degrading and digesting food oils, fats and grease in plumbing systems.

Since no two restaurants or food processing waste water systems are exactly the same, we are providing the following guidelines for application to maximize product effectiveness.

Each product contains patented grease digesting ROETECH bacteria and has its own role in effective management of grease problems in food processing and preparation.

GREASE TRAP TREATMENT CLOGGED / GREASE TRAP

ROEBIC GREASE TRAP TREATMENT (GT-1) is the product of choice for most restaurants or tood processing plants with normal grease problems and correctly sized traps in the plumbing system. GT-1 should be applied dally to assure continued effectiveness.

Usually 6 ounces (180 ml) to 8 ounces (240 ml) is sufficient. The product should be applied through a sink or Hoar drain upstream of the trap at closing time. GT-1 should also be used at these levels in any drain line feeding into the trap that could carry greases or food scraps/residuals. This would include other tood preparation areas in the kitchen.

TRAP-SAK

ROEBIC TRAP-SAK is a solid form product with 4 billion bacteria per gram. This product is designed to be installed inside the trap, where it slowly dissolves and continuously introduces bacteria to the system. Note that this use of TRAP-SAK will only treat the wastewater system from the trap downstream, ana is recommended for extremely high flow rates or applications where the restaurant has expanded without capacity upgrades to the plumbing/trap system. TRAP-SAK is also lOeal (or "jump starting" a trap by installing one unit while also using either GT-1 or QT-MAX for the Initial 3D days of treatment.

In these applications, it is advisable to use GT-1 In sinks and floor drains upstream of the trap to maintain lines in these areas.

ROEBIC GT-MAX

ROEBIC GT-MAX should be employed in high grease systems such as food processing, slaughterhouses or commercial establishments with larger volume trap systems. Establishments with 500 or 1.000-gallon traps outside the building (often with multi-chambered tanks or with pumps) should use GT-MAX. This product is three times more concentrated than OT-1. Dosage rates are usually determined on a case-by-case basis, but 12-16 ounces (360 to 480 ml) per day is recommended.

In situations where any plumbing/trap system is in very poor condition due to excessive build-up. GT-MAX should be used (or 30 days to clean up the system, arid then OT-1 can be used as a daily maintenance product
